Just to let you know that latest buoy positions, chartlets, aerial photos and full details are now available on www.eastcoastrivers.com for both the Deben and the Ore entrances. All the information is in downloadable form and will also be available soon in printed laminated form in local sailing clubs, marinas, chandleries etc.

The Ore entrance is similar to last year although the Oxley and Weir buoys are slightly closer to each other. It is interesting to note that the survey conducted recently by Chris Woods showed deeper water slightly to the north of the track suggested by the current buoy positions. However, as things can quite easily change overnight hereabouts, it will probably be wise to use the buoyed route (where there is a minimum depth of 1m at LAT) at least for the first time in.
