Following our phone conversation I know just how much you were looking forward to your tin of tuna for dinner, so much so I thought it might be kind to share my dinner with you /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Farmhouse slice, potato rosti and sweetcorn, all for no more than £1-40 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
And yes I did cook it myself /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Just goes to show that feeding on a tight budget doesn't have to mean going without /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mus be Sweetcorn and tuna night.

I knocked up tin of tuna,tin of sweetcorn, fine chopped small onion, a dozen capers, cornflour, milk & pepper sauce with a level teaspoon of grated parmesan, and heat.

Add farfalle pasta, and eat.

We were there for under 2 quid for the pair of us.

I had a slap up meal of a sausage pasta effort this eve. It was lush, although could have done with a few more beers. I went for a single jar with ggt, who was out on call helping solder some wires which I may have already done, thus opening a pub visiting window. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

We had the remains of a poached salmon which I prepared and dressed yesterday when friends came for supper. This accompanied by sauted new potatoes also left over and salad (partly from the garden). Followed by strawberries (PYO'd on Tuesday) and homemade meringue (she is the queen of meringues /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) with ice cream.

Such frugality will be blitzed tomorrow when we are staying at The Griffin in Felin Fach on the way to son's for the weekend followed by sailing in Wales and a rush back for pirates /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hold on a minute, I've just got to write down the names of all these lovely cooks I will have to visit when I want a decent meal. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
