There really is no substitute.

White Danboline has its place, grey Danboline has its place, but neither is appropriate in the bilges of a wooden dinghy or launch!

I do not think that it is. Garage floor paints in my experience are epoxies, polyurethanes or chlorinated rubbers; Danboline seems to be an alkyd.

no idea what your complaint is

TEAMAC Bilge & Locker Paint, 2,5 Liter, red or green, replaces Danboline red

In stock

:)

My complaint is that International no longer make red Danboline.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Teamac paint - that does look similar. A long oil alkyd.

Will try it.

Danboline was certainly good stuff: it seemed to stick really well to sometime dubious old bilge areas (though of course I worked very hard to clean/degrease). I hope Teamac's equivalent is the same.

You know what I am talking about! AN Other company’s “bilge and locker paint” is rubbish by comparison. International still make Danboline in white and grey but not in red.

Take your tin of white Danboline to a paint shop with a dulux colouring machine. Choose a colour and away you go. My bilges are Twisted bamboo 4.
