Hi Guys,

I'm new to the site and would like to know if anyone has any recomendations for online dayskipper qualifications. I live in France but I would be coming back to the UK to do the practical, but would like to have all the theory side of the qualifications done beforehand.

Can anyone recomend an RYA registered way of doing the course online?

Thanks is advance
Pete

There are also lots of RYA schools in Spain who can help. One poster on here is Suncoast and he will do the practical in better weather than the UK! LINK HERE

Clive is the guys name and he should be home in about an Hour. Just met him in Morisons believe it or not!

No connection

I'm just coming to my last week with these guys now.

Can't recommend them enough. The course is very good, very well organised, easy to pick things up on your own, great material. The assesments make you realise where your weak points are they keep testing you on stuff you learnt at the beginning so it's not like you forget the early stuff. And finally they are very quick in getting back to you with your results on the assements and have a very good way of helping you understand where you may have gone wrong with a certain question.

To top it off, it's quite enjoyable and broken into bite size chunks so you don't ever feel like you are getting bogged under.

I believe that this theory course will really help me when it comes to the practical.

Have no reservations what so ever.

Cheers,

Simon.

I did the Chichester Maritime one and really enjoyed it.
Progress at your own speed but they are always on the end of an email for any advice you like.
At first, I didnt believe that email would be a good way to communicate but it really works - you have plenty of time to think about the actual question that you want to put before you press the send button.
CMOnline are very good at replying quickly as well.

I'd thoroughly recommend the Chichester Maritime one.

Oh yes, and dont bother with DS just do the YM one.

Just completed the CS and YM Offshore with Chichester Maritime - they have to be good to get me through. No hesitation in recommending them

Thanks for your help guys. Looks like the CM is the way forwards.

On the spanish note, it's the bad weather (and tides) that I'm after. There's not much to beat a force 4 in the solent! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
