Are there any good Schools offering Evening Day Skipper Theory courses in North West London that anyone knows about. I'm looking for a course to do one evening a week for a few weeks over the winter........

Best bet is to contact the local education authority. They'll give you a list of Adult Education centres doing the courses. It works out cheaper as well.

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

I think all the courses will have started a good few weeks ago. With your boating background you could probably catch up as the course is run for complete novices. So the first month will have been "the front of the boat is called the bow" etc.

But it isn't "a few weeks". You'll be signing yourself up till May. If you want to get the DS course under your belt by the Spring look at correspondence courses or 3-weekend intensive courses run by many sailing schools.

........you could try Bisham Abbey Sailing School, Marlow BUCKS? They offer a variety of RYA shorebased courses such as Dayskipper, VHF Radio etc.

Last week I completed my Day Skipper by doing a five day intensive at Bisham Abbey. They were great. Apparently if you do the course at evening classes you would not finish until April. It was worth taking the time out if you can. Having now passed my husband has signed up to do the course as well.

Sandra, didn't we go through this for you last year? And didn't I suggest you look in one of the PBO copies that had a list of all schools in N. London doing this?

Don't you read or what? Or is the alcohol fuggin the brain?

Come on get your act together. Asking a Q is OK, but to keep on asking till you get the answer you want is right off. All IMHO of course.
