Could someone who knows better clear up the procedure for me in using my Day Skipper Certificate to obtain an International Certificate of Competence? I want to travel in Europe this year and understand this may be a prerequisite in some places. Do I need an CEVNI endorsement and, if so, how do I go about this?Regards.

If you contact the RYA, they will ask you to send evidence of your Day Skipper (practical) and a passport photo, they will in return send you your ICC.

A CEVNI is only needed for Inland waterways (rivers, canals). You need to take a separate exam for this, again RYA should have details of Instructors e.t.c.
