I bought mine when it was impounded on the Bridgwater Canal (owners Manchester Ship Canal). To avoid buying it from the owner with unpaid fees I asked for a three way transaction and ended up in the board room of the MSC which is in the Trafford (shopping) Centre.
We sailed the boat back from Leigh to Burton and put it on a trailer and it went far and wide, Ripon and York, Ferrybridge, Llangollen, Erewash/Soar Caldon/Peak Canal all on a very cheap Explorer licence.
Ugly as sin but 5 berth! and a proper loo compartment with a real door. Nearly full head room for 6 footers. Very stable. All for 700 squid..
And no- debris does not get stuck on the triple bow.....
I went for a sail on Loch Ken today, and what should be on the next mooring to mine but one of these. Dear lord, after it fell out of the ugly tree it really did hit every branch on the way to the forest floor. The worst thing is the way the front window bows up in the middle, so it doesn't follow the shape of the cabin roof.
