Davits a metaphor for life

Sounds like a Malango (IDB marine), designed by pierre Rolland. I think they're an excellent and innovative design; perfect for a couple who like to engage in a little "cabotage" (pottering around), say Brittany, with decent sailing performance and minimum dinghy faffing. The lift keel version has a wonderful detail of built-in telescopic drying out legs.

That looks wonderful. Modern, practical, performance. Makes the AWBs look like dinosaurs. Shame no U.K. builders have such imagination

Just got back from s brittany saw a number of Mojita 888 s which I think are a new development by IDB ..a number of them seem to have been bought by a local charter company

I was told they are built in Concarneau, looks very cool and also looks very quick....has a lift keel and a dinghy garage under the cockpit

I went on one in the marina and was very impressed, and the guy who had chartered it loved it

In 1961 Fairey launched the Huntsman 28 with doors in the Transom so you could pull a Fairey Dinky dinghy into the cockpit.

Reputedly, the coachroof of the Fairey Atalanta (?) was an upturned Fairey Duckling dinghy moulding. (Though it's visually plausible, I think I read somewhere it's not actually true, sadly.)
