We were quietly trying to launch the dinghy with a packed schedule of battery renewal lined up when a lady with an American accent asked if we could pick up her friends from a rib which couldn't get in close enough to drop the passengers. Sorry says I, but we're on a tight schedule, but look over there, Gus is about, he'll do it. (and anyway, what kind of muppet doesn't know you can't get a rib into Pin Mill)
Turned out it was the BBC film crew doing a series on sailing and David Dimbleby was in the rib! We refused to give him a lift, apparently!
Gus did do it, in fact he spent most of the day helping I think so they got what they wanted in the end.
