Data connectors

Yes, Wago 221 are very useful. It's a shame they don't have a little mounting box for them like some of the other series. Never been too sure of the gel connectors as I understood they were intended for solid core, not stranded but maybe there are different types ... and not very un-doable.
For the 221 I usually enclose in a box of some sort anyway.
Try CPC for supplies.

Just as there are electrical standards for every type of signal, there are connector and pin out standards too.
Stick with THE standard.

Soldering connectors on will not cause problems with solder wicking since a proper connector will provide strain relief beyond the problem.

There was a post (sorry I cant find it) on another thread where various connectors were tested for failure due to over current. Wago, while they maintained electrical integrity failed abysmally on the mechanical front, even permitting the conductors to rotate as initial installation. This is double plus un-good.

Ok, then let us get down to brass tacks here. The other thread was concerning extending a wire for, I seem to remember, feeding a LED light, correct me if incorrect. The connector recommended was a Wago 221. This was taken out of context and compared with a different product from the same manufacturer that would be wholly unsuitable for the application, as was the video. People should take time to research the product range before dipping their oar. I stand by my, and Mr Rainbows views on these products.
