Dartmouth: seagulls killing and eating pigeons

I hate pigeons, they're flying rats. They should make it compulsory for seagulls to eat them ... all we'll need then is something that likes to eat seagulls!

I knew an old lady that swallowed a fly....

Piranha quickly dispatch any of their kind with even minor injuries. Are we alone in caring for the sick, disabled, and frail of our species?

I don't mind seagulls in the least, trouble is there are hardly any at sea these days since they have learned to scavenge in town. Every few weeks there is another discussion about what's to be done, and could there be legislation or culling. The law is there already. First, get a dustbin instead of heaving your bags out on the street and then pretending the resultant mess is not yours. Anyone dropping food or litter, ie black bin bags, on the street should be prosecuted for littering. Gulls with plentiful food will procreate more successfully. The gulls which have proliferated in town will soon go elsewhere and go back to population levels concomitant with their food supply.

...and educate visitors (and, I suspect, some barmy locals) to stop feeding them. Enforce with bylaws if necessary. They're quite capable of fending for themselves.
