There are lots of them used as breakwaters on Horsey Island, in Hamford Water.

If you mean the ones opposite Stonev Point, I think they were old steel lighters. I have a picture somewhere of Ron & Mick Pipe towing them into position. I'll try to dig it out.
There are certainly some concrete lighters on the banks of the Walton Channel though.

is the buyer anyone we know? Hopefully not the houseboat owner that was squatting at Upnor

He is still arguing the toss in court in an attempt to do something else on the Upnor site.
Somebody somewhere has very very deep pockets indeed regards this little wheeze.
All the stuff that was put there is still in situ and only shed-onna- lighter was removed up to Borstal ?, most probably by the same outfit that drove those 16 piles without permission in the first place.
