Had mine for 2 seasons - very pleased with it but...

a few times last year the prop was still turning whilst sailing and moving the throttle to astern briefly seemed to solve - then sailing fast so assumed it had feathered.

Boat came out today for its brief TLC. A friend visiting the marina sent me some pics. Prop blades back to shiny after a pressure wash but he said the blades didn't turn. Is this just a cold grease issue? Or have I over greased it in the past? Any experience?

They should turn with "fingertip pressure".

When mine didn't, I took the propellor to Darglow who diagnosed a problem (a loose retaining bolt). They fixed it under not quite expired warranty.

Short answer - contact Darglow, they're very helpful.

Doubt it's a cold issue but have you used the correct grease? Ours is 10 or 11 years old and turns with fingertip pressure, as mentioned above.

I’d call Darglow first to be honest, they love chatting and are true experts. They offered to make me some bolts for a Maxprop from scratch on a lathe as they’re no longer available 🤣

As others have said, call Darglow.

My Featherstream is 15yrs old, blades move under light pressure whether due for annual greasing or full to bursting afterwards, whatever the temperature.
