Saw this chap on French telly this summer. He loves BIG boats. He 's a not-so-ordinary miner from Lorraine, and mad about luxury liners. He set out to build a model, but size 1:8, in his garden, hundreds of miles from the sea. He did 80 % of the work himself, and when nearly finished he became a celebrity with a Fred Dibnah-like status in France:
