Dam/Lake in Spain

Hi all
wondering if anyone knows a place in spain where you can launch and run a powerboat (perferrably without speed limits!), and cherry on the top would be a good campsite on the water bank - not interested in themeparks and satellite tv hookups and all that nonsense, just a basic campsite with a bog and a large lake/dam with no silly speed limits and some sunshine. If I can find a good place, I may purchase a small country property in the vicinity and vacation there.

Is that that little town in the centre of the country? If so what water body are you referring to? Could you send map co-ords or something? I see Embalse De Le Serena nearby, hows the boating there?

yep - La Manga area

La Manga is over populated with hotels on that small strip of land ... better alternative would be Los Alcazares ... on the mainland side of Mar Menor...

That's why I said area - I did not mean the strip

You might consider Europes largest artificial lake - but its in Portugal , Alqueva.

We have this large lagoon outside MDL Sant Carles De La Rapita that you can play in, there are also some camp sites in close proximity and a good boatyard with ramp where you could launch from:-
