Not a builder I have come across before but a cursory google shows they are Ialian and currently build pretty big impressive stuff.

I've been sent the details of a 14m HT boat described as a Dalla DC 13 Elite which if it all checks out is on for fairly silly money.

Any reason why I shouldnt consider it (other than the fact its quite a bit bigger than boats I was otherwise looking at). Tried to find a floor plan or any other details but have struck out

You do realise that they are not the same builder
Dalla Pietra are in Venice and there are loads in IT eg San Remo and a few in SoF ,they look like quality close up .I,ve considered them ( ended up going down the Itama route -deep v and all that ! )

Dalla pasquadc are not the same -looks like a more commercial set up -no knowledge Sorry .

Yep, see my post above^^^

I think it's Dalla Pieta not Dalla Pietra. Website here http://www.dallapieta.it They're quite common in the Med but as you say this one isn't a Dalla Pieta but a Dellapasqua and frankly, I've never heard of them although they do have a website here http://www.dellapasquadc.com. Seems like quite an old well established boat builder. Perhaps poweryachtblog will be along soon to give us some background

Della Pieta and Dellapasqua are two different brands, and never had any connection.
Dellapasqua have been building boats since the fifties and are from Ravenna and same goes more or less for the age of the Venice Dalla Pieta.
Up until the nineties Dellapasqua build boats with Carnevali hence the DC of the old models. Carnevali founded his own yard in early nineties I think it was 1991 out of the head.
I went to the premises of Carnevali in Ravenna in 2006 what is today divided (separated) and split in half with Dellapasqua to the left.

Dellapasqua are known as very strong boats, with a traditional early Ray Hunt near copy paste type hull with a 24 degrees deep Vee aft.
Seamanship they are regarded very high, and even construction wise. They are a family builder (father, son daughter run the company and build boats) mostly centered 99% around Italian sales.
I like the family connection a lot and is better then a financier explaining how they are building boats, much better.
What they lack a bit is that very high glossy car like finish inside. Later 2000 on-wards models have improved in this side of things.
If you want FairlinePrincessSunseekerAzimut style interiors just do not waste your time.
I think with a similar size boat in same condition sea state they would take it from most other boats.

Interestingly the Dalla Pieta would be one of the more competing brands in rough sea state.

The DC13 Elite is a very nice boat, I like it a lot, and unlike some other Italian sister of similar size does not need two very large engines to push it to nice cruising speeds.
I know a couple owners who have 13 Elite models, the hard top model and all speak highly of it and how the sea state when never bothers them much, and how in most cases they leave there friends with other boats behind when the going gets tough.

Thanks PY,

All good to hear. The boat I have been offered is a 2006 with D9s. Not without its issues but not insurmountable

Dalla Pieta are very good boats IMHO.
A few years ago, we liked the look of these craft and the owners of the yard had such a good 'can do' attitude that we looked at being the UK dealer as we were most impressed with the build quality and very high spec they showed us.
Oddly enough I am (quietly - as in not on the website yet) currently listing a 2008 DP50 with 2x715 hp CATS which should put it well into 32-34 knots. PM me if you want any more info
