In process of fitting a music player which includes DAB radio as well as the usual FM etc. I already have a small powered device which enables the existing masthead VHF aerial to be shared with the FM radio, but the music player also requires a DAB aerial - it has a short piece of cable with instructions to plug this into a DAB aerial (not supplied). I cant recall any of my fairly basic home DAB music systems having a separate DAB aerial so I'm a bit confused about this.
Do I need to get a separate DAB aerial ? will it work with that aerial below deck? Or should I get yet another adapter so that DAB and FM share the same aerial as the VHF, which is also used for AIS reception via the VHF set. Am I asking too much of one aerial?
I'm sure others have had this issue -- what would you advise?
