D3 filters etc

Instead of paying the extortionate prices that VP charge it is as simple as taking the part number off the fuel, oil & air filters and asking for replacements at my local car accessory shop?

Or is there some sort of mysterious part numebr conversion chart?

Try a good motor factor rather than your local car place, but in principle that's all there is to it...

I think the D3 was used in the Volvo XC90, so shouldn't be too gard to track down oil and fuel filters and some of the belts, may be a bit harder trying to get an impeller from Halfords /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Th ed3 is the 5 cyinder car engine but beware of the air filter as there has been some issues regarding its flow rate as the early ones are not adequate and caused some edc fault codes to appear, I think from memory the later 41p air filter is used, its the plastic type one.

Oil and engine fuel fiter may be the same, then there is the prefilter that could be any make depending on the boat builder.
