Hi,
A friend of mine has a new SC29 and is itching to get some boating in - but he's got a problem with his port lump. I'm no expert on these whizzy ECU controlled things, so hoping someone can give him some pointers. Everything was fine, but recently underload it won't go beyond just under 3000rpm.
Problem occurred before and volvo had a fiddle and proclaimed it 'fixed', but its re-occurred. They've swapped ECUs and problem remained with port lump. Lots of sucking of teeth going on at volvo, but no fix forthcoming. There was talk of 'new calibration codes' being needed.
Anyone seen this before? What questions should my friend be asking Volvo, and how do you get them to sort these things out quickly?
Cheers,
Rick
