When I purchased my Targa 52 last year the boat shifted in and out gear fine. The last run out on a cold november day started the engines and there was a marked delay engaging gear so as part of new boat maintenance I had the potentiometers in the controls replaced and a new EDC pannel as on the old one had a failed neutral light. All was fine in the spring. This week after on a cold run out I experienced the same. Seemed to clear up once the engines are warm.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this. We did leave the dock within a minute of starting the engines. My first boar with hydraulic reverse gear so wondering if I need to let the gear box oil warm up before leaving the doc. Oil looks nice and clear.

Boat is based in Holland so the temperatures have been edging towards zero at night the last couple of days.

My 1st suggestion, as a fellow D12 owner not any sort of official technical knowhow, would be to carry out a recalibration on the helm controls. Instructions are on here somewhere but if you don't have the procedure anywhere post up and one of us will send a link.

The G box won’t warm up in N at the dock as nothing moving .
Check the oil levels . They normally need to be warm and tick over otherwise may give false high reading .....Well that’s my twin disc experience.
Do you have G box pressure gauges ?
Change the oil and use the correct spec .....that way you know what’s in it and how much vol wise .

Thanks, I will try the recalibration. However the boat seems fine once the engines are warmed up. The only other thing I can think of is condensation in the connectors when it gets cold.
