Does anyone know if the d1-20 stop solenoid is powered to stop the engine or is to powered all the time to run....then power removed to stop the engine?
I seem to have a solenoid in my Perkins 403 (same engine) that needs power all the time to run...I'm wondering if there is 2 types?
Edit: maybe I've answered my own question...if I Google Perkins stop solenoid it shows pics of a solenoid with pin out all the time ... If I Google d1-20 stop solenoid it shows one with out a pin...they must be reversed.
