Düsseldorf / change in direction. New boat.

Cheers Greg, I have a sheet and will dig out that info for you. I know at 24 Knts it's hardly using much as that was deemed it's most economical speed based on distance travelled etc. Suggested perfect cruising speed is 6knts either side of 30, flat out 51

Looks a lovely modern design of boat. The colour you have chosen will I think make you look like some sort of official on the sea and with your speed you could pose as the DEA or some other government agency

Have loads of fun on her

Totally agree with all that. I was going to get "immigration control" stamped on my coat. Be funny to see people scarper as I walk into a marina bar, great for getting a table at peak time

The patrons won't leave, just the waiting and kitchen staff....
Paul its a great boat. There is a smaller one near here and I always stop and look at her. And I think you've ended the 'hull debate', hull design means nothing when faced by two huge supercharged Verados.
All boats should have side doors and walk around decks, great choice, England to France in half an hour!

Ahem.
As much as I disagreed with PF in his thread about the relevance of hull design for most boaters - and even more so about the possibility to evaluate a hull by its cover (so to speak) - this statement is just plain wrong.
When designing a fast boat, hull does matter, and even without knowing anything of Axopars, just the pic PS linked is enough to make me think that they took hull design seriously: axe bow, twin highly ventilated steps, bracket mounted engines - if I see correctly?
All of which suggests that they took hull design rather seriously.
How good the result is, I have no clue, but I think it's reasonable to expect a remarkable performance - and not just because they stuck two big O/Bs on her transom.
Looking forward to PS reports! :encouragement:

Depends did the Op "test drive it " ?

Or just by looking at the hull form ---blatantly obvious to me .

Of course there are reviews on the Internet /utube --- been told not to trust them by the same folks :) find links etc .

:):):)

Yes of course I did. It's a twin step hull. Beyond that saying nothing. I refuse to enter the hull debate. There is another thread running for those that want to discuss that topic.

Fantastic boat. Whitelighter and I spent some time crawling over one at Dusseldorf, I was really taken by it. The whole outboard thing is very appealing (and what awesome performance figures). Yours looks amazing in the grey colours - congratulations.

Cheers mate. That's a nice note like so many others. Much appreciated

Looks rubbish. I'll take it off your hands for you if you like...

Actually...omg, you definitely won't want to use that on the non-tidal Thames

For the suntop version, the data I saw was 70l/hr at 24.5kn as most economical cruise

Wow, congratulations Paul. I love it! Looking forward to your user reports. The sound of 2x 350 verados is like good chemicals- I have a video somewhere on a Yahoo - I'll find it and post it
