Cyril White and Reg White of Brightlingsea: related?

Just out of idle curiosity.......

Does anyone know if these two boatbuilders were related?

I've no reason to think they were, other than the obvious coincidences about surname, location and job.

Yes ... I know they built very different types of boat.

no they were not related, Cyril originally came from Liverpool, he was university educated when he came to b'sea in the 1920's wanting to do something different! the Museum in Brightlingsea does hold some information on him, the Jim Lawrence ( sail makers) were also very close to Cyril.
