Cutlass bearing suppliers?

I have a Jeanneau with a flanged nitrile rubber cutlass bearing in a phenolic case. I normally order it from Jeanneau, but they don't make it, so someone else must, which may mean a saving on cutting out a couple of middle men.
It is described as a Hydrolobe Ring n the Jeanneau spares catalogue.

Any clues as to a supplier for these?

My shaft is 25mm, and I guess the bearing is about 100mm in length held in with 2 grub screws.

How many times have you had to replace it? I thought your boat was fairly new. I did mine last winter. Also a Jeanneau but a good bit older. Mine was just a rubber bearing with no casing, held in with 2 plastic grub screws. I replaced mine with nitrile rubber and brass case. I drilled and tapped the P bracket for some new grub screws. The new one wasn't a perfect fit so held it in with some epoxy.

We do, but cutless is a particular brand of water lubricated shaft bearing made by duramax. First there was wood then rubber and now composite.

There are many types of water lubricated shaft bearing, you pays your money and takes your choice.

Hi Ian, same to you mate. Might get to see you all again this year, who knows?

I am amazed to find that your supplier is more expensive than Jeanneau!! Whoever would have thought?

Jeanneau recommend it is changed yearly - its in the service schedule. But I am only on my second one in 6 seasons, so not too bad.

I have just replaced mine after 12 months. The broker paid for the cutlass bearing as the engine alignment was so far out it was unreal... I went for a brass bearing but we had to take all three measurements (length, internal diameter and external diameter) as they do vary in size. Although I didn't trust to eBay there are a number of brass bearings there at reasonable prices.
