Customs and Excise.....Seen anything unusual?

Last Wednesday I was just leaving my boat in Shotley Marina after a pleasant day sail when I was approched by a smartly dressed young man. He introduced himself as an official of the UK Border Agency (formerly Customs and Excise)

He asked if my crew or me had seen anything unusual on our trip. No we replied. He then handed me his business card which had a customs confidential phone number for reporting strange activity.

Just after he'd gone I remembered some recent Pirate activity in the local area and other strange goings on so of course I phoned the number and gave them details of the likely culprits....... all the East Coast Forumites!
