I need a new windscreen, aluminium extruded frame, plastic, two parts are moulded acrylic, the sides are flat.

The original is gone, but there is a lash up attempt by previous owner as a guide.

Any recommendations as to who I could use? Solent based.

There is a company in Waterlooville that does all that sort of stuff ... sorry I can't remember the name but Google whatever ... windscreens, boat windows, acrylic windows or something, and add Waterlooville ... should find them.

OK ... just checked for you ... Sunlight Plastics Ltd, Waterlooville, ... got their own website.

Sunlight Plastics are good for the supply of plastic glazing material including cutting to size and special moulding to shape when necessary but I am pretty sure that they do nor make replacement window assemblies or even refurbish old ones.

A couple in the SE who do refurbish windows are

"SeaClear Marine Windows" in Barming nr. Maidstone. http://www.seaclear.co.uk/
and "Hadlow Marine" at Hadlow, between Maidstone and Tonbridge. http://hadlowmarine.com/

They may not actually make replacement window assemblies though

I also have note of "Alda Plastics" in Eastleigh http://www.aldaplastics.co.uk/ but again I think only for the plastic.

"Eagle Boat Windows" in Lancashire http://www.eagleboatwindows.co.uk/ Again only for refurbishmen, not manuafactur of new windows

"Houdini Marine Window"s in Southminster Essex http://www.houdini-marine.co.uk/ is my only suggestion for someone who actually makes the whole thing ( not far from Nick C's ex sailing club)

I used Trend http://www.trendmarine.com/marine-glazing-products/windshields/ when working with Mark Lewis on the Revival 37. Swordsman Marine and Northshore also had success with their screens and I think a Swordsman 31 had a Trend bespoke screen.
