Custom Instrument Panel fascia

thanks... forgot to mention that I've already approached Fletcher who'll make up a new one in newer colours so long as I bring them the existing moulding for them to copy.. a little nervous of going back to the company that manufacturered a component that now has a problem though.. I'll check these two out.. thanks again for the info.

Common problem with the Fletcher panels as we've said before. The problem for most suppliers I contacted was that the panel is curved, But if Brain Ward can make one for £130 that's quite good.

I had to buy a replacement from the original Fletcher company, and that was £200 inc VAT quite a few years back.

Hope you enjoy your 19, some pictures at some time?

Just got an email back from Fletcher.. £50 for a new remoulded panel, that sounds very good value.. I've just put up some pictures in another thread and need some advice on the discolouration of the hull at the stern port side.. I know the red GRP tends to fade so I think this is either a defect in manufaturing or the consequence of a repair job that I'll need to have a very good look at.. no blistering or anything that I can see. other than that, she's in remarkably good condition for the year due to having very little use. just hope I'm not dissappointed when I finally get to meet her ;)

Ah yes, found the photos, looks good. Red unusual, but smart.

Make sure Fletcher know exactly which instruments are fitted, as there were many different types, with varying dimensions. Is the one offered a wood effect one or the more modern variety? Either way £50 very good.

Never seen discolouration like that. Might be better with some hard cutting back, the trim gel coat, red, is quite thick.

Best of luck, as long as everything works OK, I'm sure you'll not be disappointed.

.

good point.. I'll be taking the whole instrument panel in to them and may even stop by Wolverhampton on the way home so they can take it out.. I've sent them a close up of the panel already and that's what they've based their quote on so long as they get the original in to mould from... going to see if they do a chrome, red or a carbon to match the colour of the door.. When the Broker spoke to them they said they could just about do most things to bring it up to date. I think I'll have the other company as a backup option purely due to cost and the fact I can say it was done by Fletcher themselves when I come to resell.

thanks for the advice
