Hi Folks
I have decided to replace the filling material inside my zip-up waterproof cushion covers in the forepeak, as neither the mate nor I can get a decent night's sleep.
The existing cushion material , although 4" thick, has virtually no density.
Does anyone have experience of a good quality filler that is comfortable to sleep on? If so what is it called and can it be bought in sheets and cut without difficulty?
Can anyone advise of a website, or an address (in the Geneva area) where a reasonable filler material might be found?

COMFORT MATTRESS - memory foam which conforms to your own unique contours no less. Laminate it onto existing foam or redo the whole shebang using their SUPERIOR foam.

Available from www.hawkehouse.com by mail order or if you can pop along to Fareham see it for yourself.

Quite expensive IMO. Cut sizes are £9.56 sq ft of the overlay/foam laminate. But my sailing buddy has her 22' Warwick so furnished and I've got to say it's brilliant. (I know the prices because I happen to be checking it out myself). HTH.

Foam comes in various densities so it’s best to go for a dense type which will ensure you don’t ‘bottom out’ (sorry about the pun – not intended) on the base of the berth. I’m afraid I don’t know of suppliers in your area.

The best DIY way to cut foam that I’ve found is to use an electric carving knife.
