Curry near Swanwick?

We've temporarily decamped to Swanwick marina so that we don't have to inflict Chichester bar on the dog for a bit.

We've got rather used to a first night curry at the Spinnaker in Chichester marina to start off our boaty weekends, so can anyone recommend a decent curry house near to Swanwick? There are a few showing on Google, but the closer ones don't seem to have reviews.

Couple of good takeaways in the area; Lowford Balti and the Park Gate Tandoori at Swanwick station (which may have a sit in but I've never sat in it)

Purbani Tandoori in Hedge End. The one in Swanwick Railway Station good too. The one in Hamble village to be avoided.

We used to go to the Purbani in Botley once a month when I lived at the top of the river some 20 + years ago!

Purbani Tandoori in Hedge End. The one in Swanwick Railway Station good too. The one in Hamble village to be avoided.

There are now two in Hamble, I'd agree about the Cinnamon Bay (ex Last Viceroy) but the Royal Bengal, opposite The Harrier, aint bad. The Hedge End Purbani used to be a lot less busy than Botley, used to have to book for that one.

I have eaten in the Cinnamon Bay and, although it was a while ago now (3 or 4 years?), I recall the meal being quite good...

Maybe check the food hygiene ratings first. There seem to be rather a lot of low scores locally. The big Chinese place in Park Gate, for example.... zero!

Chon Chola in Warsash is also very good.... Abdul the waiter is very helpful.

We live quite close to the marina and our local is Mojo, just up the hill in Sarisbury Green but they will deliver for free. 01489 571999
