Yes I agree as well, people in big diesel guzzling stinkpots need to look outside the box, canals are wonderful, yachts have that romantic wind in your hair feel to them, and rowing, well there are some good clubs about /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif See not difficult to stay on the water.

Anyway much more room for the sensible ones who don't need to give a stuff about it because they are in a comfortable position with what they have, just the poor ones who are left holding the parcel when the red announcement comes /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

If people are really worried about the value of their fast twin engine planing cruisers when we go white - sell now before the market is flooded and get the same size boat with displacement or semi displacement hull, slow down and enjoy. I don't beleive genuine boat lovers will get off the water, they will simply adjust their hobby according to their cloth. Smart money is now on slower/economical boats. Getting a smaller boat is not necessary.
Nothing wrong of course in just going slower in your planer, but when you come to sell, prices WILL be depressed, just like big fast cars took a dive when fuel crisis hit the car world. It will of course all come round in the end, but if you HAVE to sell at a bad time you will have to take the loss.
