Hi
I already know from the title thread I am probably addressing about 10 people! However - my Joystick has failed - (no the wife didnt say this) but the computer said 'Noooo'
Axis failure - anyone on here know if these can be repaired - cannot be too many components in a joystick of any great expense to make the pods go left right etc and also - how do you get a replacement one - Cummins say go to a dealer and my dealer said 5-7 days - that was 2 weeks ago and now just says will be in touch!!

I have no idea whether they can be repaired as thankfully I have not had an issue yet. It sounds obvious but your dealer should be able to tell you. As for parts again even if not in stock in the U.K. they should be able to give you an accurate delivery date from the central hub in Belgium. Which dealer are you using??

Is it a Cummins part or Mercruiser? I don't think Cummins have made gearboxes? I think this part came out of the Cummins/Mercruiser tie up several years ago, which didn't last long. Have you tried Barras?

Thank you - I was given 5-7 day lead time but that was 16 days ago and none the wiser - have contacted CM direct but so far not overly helpful - I actually dont know which part of the tie up the joystick belongs to - but when the new one arrives I will find out ! Smartcraft is printed on top of the item but of course its 9 years old now - in the interim I have switched the lower helm for the flybridge which has helped. Quite an expensive part for something that anyone with some electrical knowhow could probably fix for a few pounds but naturally a sealed unit

If you know the part number contact Nick at Seabridge marine. He may well be able to help you.

The guy on the pontoon next to me thought he had trouble with his joystick ... turned out he wasn't putting his throttles into neutral before switching on the joystick ... its little brain was getting addled then someone told him and all was well. He had Volvo D4-300s but I thought I'd mention it anyway just in case!

Hahah - yeah I had that thought initially but it is kaputt. Switched with lower helm - fault followed stick- awaiting various channels to try and replace
