I want to touch up the paint on an old Beta engine.

Beta say that the colour is "Cummins White".

Does anyone know where I might find a small can (not aerosol): either Cummins' own or a close match from, say, a Halfords' range?

There's plenty of Cummins white out there, unfortunately all in aerosols.

Is there a perticular reason you don't want an aerosol? I'd just use white Smoothrite myself (available at most DIY shops).

Hammerite smooth seems to be very similar to the paint used on engines. Dont know specifically for Beta but their red appears identical to the Bukh stuff.

Many of the places I want to touch up are a bit awkward to get at, and I assumed that with the minimum distance needed to spray, I wouldn't be able to apply the paint accurately.

Thanks for the Smoothrite suggestion. I went to my hardware store and they didn't have any but pointed me to Hammerite Smooth. I wasn't sure about it but some subsequent Googling confirms it's fine for engines and meanwhile Vyv has also suggested it. So I'll probably go with that.

You may find that Ford Diamond White is as near as you can get. Available in Single Pack, Two Pack (which is what I paint boat hulls and topsides with) and Cellulose.
