Not sure if it's true but....

There's a rumour going around that Glastron have taken new American marketing strategies to another level.

They have hired a well known 'cult leader' to infiltrate the boating world of user groups and forums, win their trust, and gradualy brain wash them into buying no other boats that Glastron.

Oi! I saw that /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif My Glastron is just a stepping stone to a bigger boat, but at that budget you are very limited in choice /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I have some of my 'advertising budget' left so pop down for a spin sometime /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Cheers,

Pete

Thanks Pete, I might just do that, and if you want to break your journey 'up-north', stop off somewhere between Leeds, York, and Hull and we'll organise a NE district forum meet.

Come and try my 1.7 as well, then you know you'll want diesel next /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

At £150 a week in fuel, a diesel is looking VERY tempting /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Or I could just stop getting experience and sit in the marina /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Come down any time, PM me first as would have to juggle round some safety kit to get you on /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Actually Pete, let's make it the 'Glastron and Birchwood' owners club. We're held in about the same esteem by other forum members.

But we'll think again if your topsides are pop riveted to your hull, and the wiring looms are fastened with sellotape /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Are you all right Martyn?

Have you been taking happy pills or something?

Judging by the reply you just gave Scott about his Vdrive post, and the replies on this post, I think you may be under the influence of something!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought my V drive response was perfectly professional, surely you mean the 'gas pipe' one about exhausts instead!

No I'm just sat in a strange office, covering for one of my managers who's at his son's graduation (Not that that's relevant), and have done all the work I brought with me, but need to man the phone.

And when I get bored, my mind starts to play tricks on me /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Yes, to be a member, you not only need to own either an Americal 'lake boat', a Birchwood, (or an Admiral), you need to be either a Yorkie, or a Jock.

Something we share with the Jocks, eh Martyn, 'more sense than money'

Perhaps it's just - S of Watford Boat=90% Beer=10%

N of Watford Boat=10% Beer=90%

Wow, just re-logged on to find THIS post thread has headline billing on the YBW home page.

So it's not just me that's going mad this afternoon Alistair /forums/images/icons/wink.gif .
