Would the team consider that for those of us cooking with meths, a FB Steak and Kidney pudding is a suitable alternative to the staple FB pie?

Love them both, everytime we return to the UK we get a dozen of each.. Prefer the Pudding if I'm honest.

I think it's a good idea to cook FB products with meths because the smell of the meths will help to disguise that of the pies.

Not having an oven on this boat I was getting concerned I could never be considered a proper Jester participant if I could cook and eat FB pies on the trip to the Azores.
I had forgotten then did puddings too - in the RN similar fodder went under the name of 'babies heads'. I shall have to get a stock in!

That's Wiganese I believe- "babby's yed and pay wet". Those pie-munchers love their steamed suet puds with mushy pea juice. Ugh.
