Hi

I wonder which is the best crusing speed and if you are using auto trim tabs or do you handle them manually? What angle of legs you are running the legs in + or - angle in your crusing speed.

My boat is a S29 with twin D3 160 engines

SC29 Cruising

I have an SC29 with twin D3-160s.

From testing so far I've found for my boat the optimum cruising speed in calmer seas to be 22knot at 3,000rpm with legs at -7 and QL trim tabs with about 7 lights on. At these settings I get consumption around 22l per hour per engine.

Hope that's of use.

Hi Rafiki

I must admit a bit hairy doing 25mph under the bridge at stratford upon avon but the look on the tourists faces on their rowing boats priceless ..........In my dreams boat at Chichester :-)

Shame.

I was hoping to see you on the plane at Binley, outside the Four Alls, sizing up the bridge!!
