Does anyone have any information or experience on visiting places between Boulogne and Honfleur as we would like to coast hop between the two in a boat drawing 5'4"?
Thanks in anticipation

Well worth a visit (IMHO of course):

1. Dieppe - if you get stuck, or have to go back in a hurry, you can always catch the Newhave ferry.
2. St Valery sur Somme (very nice, but tricky - if first time, would advise daylight only - 2Hrs either side HW)
3. Le Treport - see 2
4. St Valery en Caux

Try to avoid going to Boulogne - bit of a s**thole -> always crowed, stinks (sewage)

If not... reef early!

And if you can't avoid Boulogne, go for the Bassin Napoleon (hidden behind a lock on your right hand. Allow the rubbish to run out of the lock before entering though- amazing what the French will dump in the water.

Fecamp's a pleasant place for a stop. Access is at any state of the tide. Good selection of eating places, my favourite being the Progre. The Benedictine monastery is worth a visit. Le Havre's a bit of a dump but the marina's fine and it's a good place to provision up. Take care at the harbour entrance as it's one of the busiest ports in Europe. St Valery en Caux has a lock open roughly 2.5 hrs either side of high water and worth an over night stop. Honfleur is a bit of a tourist trap, but pretty with it, you lock in at various times to the inner basin which is surrounded by cafes.

Dieppe's very nice but gets full to bursting in mid summer, with rafting up between the pontoons. There's not much water into Fecamp at low water.
