I've had a couple of quotes from marina's in Madeira that are offering 20% discount on fee's for CA or RORC membership. I see the CA membership is £126 per annum.

The question is how many marina's in the Atlantic islands and the Med offer these sort of discounts and what are the other benefits of membership?
Thanks

Suggest you visit www.cruising.org.uk and associated MyCa site to explore benefits of membership. There are a very active "Med"and Baltic Sections. Have found the chief benefit to be the exchange of information and camaraderie when finding fellow members in distant ports. Have also been on 2 extended rallies which were very positive experiences. Like all clubs/associations you get out what you put in. I think its good value for money, but not just for the discounts! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I sought them out when planning a Baltic vist.
The Main benefits I found were.
1. The very extensive library where you could decide on a cruise anywhere in the world using their charts and other publications and then just buy the charts relevant to the route you plan.
2. Local representatives that would help with issues relative to their area. (Essential for Russia)
3. Much help from members with experience of target region. (but maybe I bumped into the right person)
I live near London so didn't benefit from the cheap London accomodation.
