Cruiser Uno on Volvo Saildrive

Beware of any copper based paint on the sail drive. Whilst the exterior of the drive can be primed and painted, corrosion can also occur in the interior waterways and you won't be able to see it. I use sea jet or trilux AF as I have an aluminium hull with a volvo S drive.

Thanks all. I have bitten the bullet and carefully wet&dry sanded off the Cruiser Uno and given two coats of International PropODrev primer.
Plan to paint with the Trilux33 originally bought for the purpose tomorrow.

So happy with the bits I can see, but inevitably paint will have run inside the water inlet holes when painting. No way to see or remove there (other than the usual metal rod to evict the molluscs). Guess just have to live with that.

Although see post #7 re applying actual copper to the saildrive, never mind copper-compound paint which includes almost everything else. ;)
