What is it with crows, this is the third time I have watched a crow perched on someones masthead light attack the wind instrument. No amount of waving or clapping could stop it.

So if your wind instrument goes on the wonk - think crow!!

Also seemed to get a bit narked with the hawk/vhf as well.

I have lost my wind indicators this winter, both the hawk aerial one and the nasa transponder, I know it is the crows as I have seen them perching on the mast heads in the marina.

Anyone got any ideas on how to prevent the crows from damaging them?

If you google crow scarer's, there is quite a lot of stuff about.

I notice that more masts are having spikes in various places.

Crows are a bit of a pest .

Thinking of birds, we will soon have our old friends the Terns, Swallows and House Martins about. Great time of year at the moment. Expect that they are queueing up in various African transit lounges at the moment.

We have a rook where I work that likes to batter the chimney from the heater knocking the sealant out of it and making it leak, I think it attacks it's own reflection as it's stainless, when we had another heater put in the other unit I got the fitter to spray the cimney black and it never gets touched.
