Hello, i am embarking on a walk from Lands end to John O Groats in as straight a line as possible. This takes me across the Bristol channel, it would be great if someone out there had a trip planned from Cornwall (or Devon) to Wales, preferably somewhere on the Pembrokeshire coast.
not much to ask is it?:)http://www.ybw.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.png

I am raising awareness and funds for the charity Parkinson's UK.
Hoping someone can help out.

Cheers
John

John, I just checked this on the chart. You'll have to walk from Land's End to St Ives. Then get a boat to take you to Milford Haven. Walk to Fishguard. The next boat takes you to Douglas (IOM). Walk all the way to Ramsay. Another boat to Wigtown. Now you have a serious bit of walking all the way to Lossiemouth. One more boat: you could step ashore to stretch you legs at Wick but really you wouldn't be far off the rhum line if you just went straight up to JO'G.

Total Distance: 526 miles (nautical)
Boat: 309 miles
Shanks's Pony: 217 miles

:)
