Crossing the Estuary

[quote.....Harwich - Ramsgate is 4NM longer if you go round the outside.
Harwich - Rough Towers - Kentish Knock - North Foreland - Ramsgate. Doddle.

I much prefer it - one tack, autopilot engaged, bliss.
You don't get echosounder paranoid, you don't have to keep looking for a buoy all the time.

The peace of mind is well worth the extra 4NM.

I've done my share of touch and go along sandbanks - and all that comes with it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
More than my fair share.

Nice & easy - every time. Happy crew - happy skipper.

I'll be the first to admit that we don't own an "East Coast boat" - but then, Guapa has a purpose beyond the East Coast.
For us it's an affordable, reasonably close place to keep her while we fit her out.

Once again the forum come-up with the answers,A massive thanks to TillerGirl,His help has proved to be more than expected, and to Morgana for taking the time to point me in the right direction.

I think the Estuary wont be as much of a problem as i first thought. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
