I am getting a crew together for Croatia but not having much luck with charter flights especialy transit times from airport to marina.

Any help would be great.

PS Thanks for the info re Scilly Isles a few weeks ago very helpful and what a BEAUTIFUL place.

You been to Scilly then? Please tell all - it's pretty much my favourite place on earth, would love to hear of your sailing travels there. Isn't it THE most gorgeous, wild place..?! One of my ambitions is to take new little boat there, all suggestions gratefully received.

I'll look into the charter flight thing for Croatia - my mum's Croatian, cousin's a Croatian travel agent - see what I can dig out for you. When/where you going, etc?

Airports in Croatia at Dubrovnik, Split and Pula (this last only charter traffic, but the only flight I know of is ex-Moscow). Otherwise, fly here to Trieste (Ryanair, currently offering free flights!), then catch a coach down the coast. The coach leaves every day around fivish and serves the entire coast from Rijeka to Dubrovnik. It's a pretty tedious night journey, but cheap. Alternatively, catch a ship from Rijeka. Leaves at sixish every afternoon, serving Split, some islands and Dubrovnik. Once a week, also Zadar.
Where are you chartering from?

I went (via Split)in August with Maersk air from Birmingham. They're now called duo I believe (duo.co.uk). Try some of the tour operators (first choice, thomsopn etc) for flight only seats from their holidays. But, as metabarca says, ryanair to trieste is the best idea. I just booked 5 tickets for about £40 return.

Happy...

... to provide more details re times, if required, and perhaps even a lift, if I'm free, from the airport.
