Which is the best pilot book for Dalmation coast of Croatia? I've seen Adriatic Pilot by T & D Thomson is this any good? which of Rod Heikell's books cover this area?

Thanks

When I sunsailed Croatia two and a bit years back, the Thomson pilot was the only one available (and only just - I waited for its publication). IMHO it is not as good (in the literary and travel book sense) as Heikell's pilots, but it was beggars and choosers. If nothing else is available, then I have a lightly used Thomson with which I'd be happy to part company at half publisher's price.

I'm based in Trieste and I'm pretty sure there's nothing else in English than the Thompson. However, there is a very good pilot in Italian ... which provides comprehensive coverage of all the bays and inlets, together with useful marina info. For sure it's more detailed than the Thompson. It's aboard at the mo but I can get the details if you're interested.
