Croatia charters

Can anybody recommend a Croatia Charter Company? Plan is for 2 couples, experienced sailors, to charter for 1 or 2 weeks in September 2009. No previous experience of the region. Don't want a floating caravan. Aim is some relaxing boating with some possibility of sunshine. Advice welcomed.

After chartering from Sailing Holidays in Greece many years ago I was so impressed that having decided to charter in Croatia this year compared prices but due to fond memories went straight for Sailing Holidays as about the same price as everyone else.

I chartered in Croatia this year from Trogir, with Cosmos. The boat was from "Waypoint" charters based in the marina. Got an excellent price for 7 days from Cosmos, interestingly paid a lot less than "Waypoint" companys price list. How do they do that? Charter company very good, although we had a few problems with the boat they were good at (trying )to put it right.

Next year i am going to look at "Sail Croatia", they have some nice looking boats around.

I sailed an elan 31 with activity yachting last year with a gang of people and they were excellent. really relaxed but professional and by far the lowest price, although their website price was higher than most others so its worth giving them a call and seeing what they can do for you. they sail from Murter near Sibinik

Hi! We chartered for two years in Croatia, flying into Split which is great. We used Sailing Holidays both times and had an Elan 333 and then an Elan 340. We just wanted to potter about so the second boat was a bit wasted on us. We had to go during school holidays so last year was very hot and quite windy. The chater was excellent and both boats were well equiped and maintained. Both were operated by Navigare (Sailing Holidays partner in Croatia) which has high standards. The cruising ground is fabulous and the people are so friendly. All I would say is that it does get busy during the summer so it might be better if you could go in June or September/October. I am sure that you will enjoy it, and Sailing Holidays are reliable and will answer all the questions you can think of! Enjoy
