crimped spade terminals

The water temperature sensor on the Bukh 20 stands vertically on top of the engine with vertical spade connectors. they are always becoming dislodged every time you lean over the engine to acess the water inlet seacock. One spade is 6.3mm the other is 4.8mm. The grip on the female spade seems to loose its strength quite quickly and has to squeezed tight again. Is any brand more robust and can take more on and offs becfore it gets loose. Ther are so many suppliers on these connectors. I dont want to buy 100 connectors 10 or 20 would be enough, I would like to get shrinkwrap ones to seal the joint but I can only find a few in 4.8mm and these are in packs of 100. , Any help on brands woukd be great. and can you just buy shrink wrap seperatly and slide it over the connection, and can you get it with adhesive.

Sorry though female with locking tabs might be a solution but that is to hold them into a relay block or similar

A guard to protect the wire from impact/rubbing? You shouldn't rubbing against it for something routine.

How about heatshrinking the connector after you've connected it?
How about bending the connector to a right angle before connecting it, so that it doesn't stand so proud once connected?

I'd try Jamie's 90 deg connector. If that doesn't sort it, I'd solder a wire to the terminal, and make my disconnectable connection a few inches away, where it isn't going to get knocked.
