Article in latest mbm re electrical crimps shows picture of "cheap... but perfectly adequate ...." crimp tool.

It's actually an AMP model: 2 years ago they cost £21 + vat,just for the tool....& it produces much,much better results than a £3 tool/terminal kit from "£ world" & better than many £20+ "ratchet" models too,imo.

Buy a decent one, & decent terminals too,unless you're really skint.

Don't stop dentist's and goldsmith's will be equally greatful. However remember to switch of the mains before crimping ;-))

*grin* well so far I have all my own teeth and no fillings... and yeah learned to switch off power when about 9 years old and decided to fix Xmas lights by by-passing dodgy lamp socket...

Pulled wire off lamp holder, needed to strip the insulation. put wire between teeth, bit down hard to take off the plastic and wound up on the other side of the room. Had loose teeth for a week.. blew all the fuses in the house.

But now I am a bit more careful..... Honest!

Despite the high cost of living, it still remains popular.
