Hi all

I am a dinghy sailor who wants to progress to larger boats. I have done my day skipper theory and hopefully will be doing the practical in May.

In the meantime I am looking to get some crewing experience. I am available most days of the week and am based in Yorkshire but dont mind travelling within reason /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

if anyone is sailing through the winter and needs a crew then please get in touch

Thanks

May I recommend that you seek out a YC convenient for you and make yourself(as a member) known by turning up frequently and generally being useful around the clubhouse.

Opportunities will then arise for either some club racing or day cruising experience- that way people can check you out and things will progress from there.

Experience, if you have been honest in your enquiries, will not be so important in my opinion but reliability is certainly crucial if you are achieve your objective.

Best of luck- and in my opinion a season or two's racing at whatever level you fancy will give you experience much quicker than cruising.

This is open to debate and I shall now duck below the parapet to avoid 'incoming' /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
