Creaking mooring rope etiquette

Re: Clanking Halyards

I carry some short bits of filthy frayed manky old bits of rope about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Pop aboard the yacht and tie back the offending halyards with a bit of this using several double granny knots and frayed ends flapping in the breeze.

Hopefully they will pick up on the message. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Raggie - MOBO thing ...

Note - I didn't say Stinkie !!

At the Yarmouth May Beach do - there was no Rag vs Mobo stuff at all ... not even light-hearted stuff - discounting GC1 of course - he's ribbed by all !

When it came to helping with mooring / moving boats to accommodate all etc. Mobo people were there without fault. I have to say that we did move a raggie who was absent ...

We had no creaking mooring lines ... but I have to admit that I have some lines on my mast that defy all attempts to shut them up !! But they were reasonably quiet that time ...

I think the post starting this thread and others like it are designed to start a trol ... to get people to post and wind-ups ...
