Crazy new ad

There is a stupid and intrusive new ad that’s pink and yellow that’s defeating my ad blocker and going full screen on my iPhone when I access the forum.
Is it just me, and if not does anyone have a solution?

Adblock has served me well so far but was failing on this latest atrocity.

Why do people like YBW allow ads that make their site unusable? Or is it not YBW? I don’t understand how these things work.

Why do people like YBW allow ads that make their site unusable? Or is it not YBW? I don’t understand how these things work.

Most if not all of the banner adverts on YBW that are "non boating" are actually served by Google Adsense, and every month Google pay YBW for the privilege. Google selects the banners to serve each site visitor based on many different algorithms, including what google perceives your interests to be based on your previous internet search history.

Often Google makes unannounced changes to the type style and location of banners it serves, and the website owner has to watch out for these changes and adjust their protocols to eliminate or minimise what they consider detracts from their website visitors enjoyment of their website.

In others words, it is all a bit of a moving target.

Many thanks for the tip, have installed it on my iPad and problem fixed, forum is way faster as well.

Purify fixed iPad and iPhone, but forum is still a pain on the Mac, as far as I can see Purify does not have a Mac version? I have got rid of Adblock as that was slowing everything down without fixing the back button problem.

I use Adblock Plus with Chrome on my Mac, works perfectly for me. Latest versions of everything.

Sadly the cure has only lasted a day or so. The back button is back to its old tricks. ?

Just started getting it now. Festival in Budapest. A new advertising low ! Very hard to close.
