Its a good app, some of the instructions could do with being made more obvious up front, and at 630MB I am glad i have cable broadband

No, we made an app from the Crash Test Boat Series to read and learn from, so it will help you avoid the disaster in the first place. Or if you find yourself experiencing a disaster you might have retained a bit of information that will help you survive it.
It's not an app in the traditional sense, it's an interactive "magazine" with over an hour of video, combined with the complete crash test series with audio, a 360º view, animations and hundreds of photographs....watch the video
It's not a step by step troubleshooting guide, that would be really silly.
"Oh pants we're sinking, darling can you pass me my iPad so I know what Yachting Monthly tell me I should do?"

+1 for Android (their tablets are much more versitile than ipad!)
The only people who really like the apple stuff are either sooo simple headed, or are "artisitc" and lve the design of the apple packaging.

I saw the crash test boat at Hamble Point a few weeks back and the tarpaulin wasn't quite fitting over the companion way... was a bit concerned about rainwater getting in

Just because something is selling loads it doesn't make it "better", or it's users more complex minded, it might just be cheaper or made by more companies trying to beat each other.
PCs outnumber Macs, but I'd rather use a mac any day of the week because they just work.
The Crash Test Boat iPad app isn't a smartphone app, a smartphone really doesn't do all the work that went into it justice.
It was designed for the iPad, maybe an android version will be out soon.
Which is of no concern to people who don't want to develop their own stuff

Believe me, with all the stagnant smelling foulness that was in there, rain water getting in was a good thing!
